Translation.io

Translation.io is a tool we build for Ruby on Rails developers who want to easily translate their applications.

Instead of translating inside the code, the developer just has to use a specific syntax around the source language text, then execute a command to synchronise with the translators.

This ease of use, and the fact that the translation interface was customised for translators and marketing team (for copywriting) speed up the whole translation workflow.

Some numbers:

  • Several hundreds of paying customers.
  • 500 000+ segments in the system.
  • 110+ tests for a code coverage of 84% on the gem.
  • 280+ tests for a code coverage of 70% on the web application.

Sokoban

Sokoban

sokoban-game.com is the quite successful evolution of a small open-source side-project.

Sokoban is a quite popular puzzle game created in 1980. You are a warehouse keeper and you need to place boxes on specific positions, but only by pushing them.

With our version of the game, we take the same recipe and added a social side of the game using Facebook.

Some numbers:

  • 8000+ registered users.
  • 500 000+ finished levels.
  • 100 millions moves and 30 millions boxes pushed.
  • The equivalent of 3 FTP spent to play the game.
Giphy

XMoto.js

XMoto.js is a HTML port of XMoto, using CoffeeScript, PixiJS and Box2D.

The hardest part of the development was to recreate a similar experience for the players, using the same levels and graphical assets as the original game.

The use of Box2D, the physics engine also used in Angry Birds was really conclusive.

Cliché

Cliché is a mobile application Android/iOS compatible that was developed in 2 days using React Native. It was created during the MIC Softlab Summer Camp 2016.

The goal of the application is to discover a new touristic place by collecting pictures of key spots. You begin with pencil drawings and you need to replace them with pictures taken with your smartphone.

Once the picture is shot, it's sent to our backend for validation. The main objective is to collect all the pictures of a touristic place.

The only hint is the distance until the spot where the picture need to be taken.
